I named both of my pigeons after famous war pigeons, but their names aren't really cool unless you know the stories. I'll write a short summary.

Sher Ami (pronounced share-omm-ee, Ami for short). She is a Birmingham Roller pigeon. Cream/tan colored all over. Very beautiful.

The first Sher Ami lived in world war 2. She was with a large group of men who were being bombed. The group was also running low on food and provisions. Their last hope was to send a message by pigeon. They had three pigeons total, yes, this story sounds unbelievable but it is true. The first two pigeons were shot down immediately. Sher Ami was the third. She was shot, but got up and flew anyways. She flew forty miles, severely injured, and delivered her message and saved the group. She had been shot through the breast, lost an eye, and a leg. But she survived and lived for many years afterwards.

Commando (pronounced command-oh, Mando for short). Also a Birmingham Roller pigeon. He is white with black and brown speckles.

Also in world war 2, Commando the war pigeon completed over 90 successful missions, three of which were very notable. By my own research, I believe that Commando was probably used in Operation Columba, a secret pigeon service that did some amazing things in world war 2. If you want to know more about this, I recommend the book Operation Columba: The Secret Pigeon Service of World War 2 by Gordon Corera.
