Barred Rock--Summer (she must be a mutt, she lays green eggs)
2 Welsummers--Grace and Calloway
Australorp--Viola (but we call her hairlip, she has a crossed beak)
Americauna--Laura

and in our brooder we have

Barred Rock/Blue Cochin--Spring(after mom Summer)
Buff Orpington/Blue Cochin--Flora (after a swedish butterbrand)
2 Silverlaced Wayandottes--no names yet
2 Australorps--no namers
2 Buff Orpintons- nameless so far
2 Aumericanas--need names
2 California White Leghorns--again need names
1 RIR - Elemer ( after the glue, due to pasty butt)

and in a different brooder

3 Fawn and White runner Ducks-- Lilly, Rose and Petunia

My favorite SLW is named Pearl. Because I was calling her pretty girl, so I shortened that to Pirl, or Pearl.
The only other one that I've named is Poopy. A small BLRW bantam that is really friendly. She looks like most of the other BLR's that I have and the only way I can tell her apart is a little line of poo that she's had on her for a long time.
The others haven't been named yet. I think there are only 4 or 5 more that I would name if I could think of something good.

Our original chickens where named after the places they came from - Ashburton, Kianga, Marsha (from Marshlands),

The most recent ones have been named by my daughter after Harry Potter characters (she and we love those books and movies) so we have a Molly (Weasley) and McGonagall and a rooster named Neville. Still got a couple of names left to go for next year... Hermione, Luna, hopefully not too many boys! (Harry, Ron, Dumbledore....)

Oh I just remembered some of our very early chooks had recipe names.... Tika Marsala, Tandoori...hmmm perhaps not so kind.
