My first flock was named thusly:
(all mutts, so I'll just describe their patterns and colors)

Skipper- a small, rambunctious hen with brown feathers edged in orange. (We called her skipper because she liked to jump into any available water when she was a chick.)
Beauty- a taller, rather snotty hen with coloring similar to Skipper's, but with double lacing.
Dot- dusky buff hen with one black dot on her head.
Captain- enormous barred rooster, he got a big attitude when his spurs came in!
Cutie- gorgeous golden buff rooster.

That's all for me, until this spring anyway

? (No idea what breed, could anyone know from a picture?) called Gina
2 silver laced Wyandotte hens named Lucy and Claire
Silver laced Wyandotte Rooster Henry
2 Bantams (roo and hen) Tutti and Frutti (they're just adorable, the rooster feeds her!)
And I did have a Rhode island red named Mable RIP and also a same breed as Gina named Beaky (she was crossed beak) also sadly passed away
And also 2 wyandotte chicks (Lucy and Claire's daughters) named Molly and Squeak (she made this peculiar squeaking noise lol) Unfortunately Squeak got attacked by a bird of prey (such an awful sight) and Molly's legs didn't form properly and she died when she was 2 months old. So only 6 chickens left! Though we're hoping to get some Bantam chicks this year (fingers crossed!)

there is actually a thread somewhere on here (something like guess breed and gender) where if you post a picture people will guess.

We decided to go with star themed names because my middle name is star and a couple of the chickens are "star" type:

-Celeste (Rhode Island Red)

-Starburst (Red Star)

-Nova (Black Star)

-Betelgeuse (Black Star) ......my husband came up with that one, it is an actual star in the constellation Orion, All I knew was the movie, lol

Just out of curiosity- how do you pronounce Betelgeuse?
