Hoping someone here can help because we want to save our chicken!
A couple days ago I found my silkie hen on her back and couldn’t get back up. Over the past couple days she’s seeming to get weaker. But she’s still eating and drinking and normal poops! She doesn’t use her legs or wings neck seems fine and the crop is empty I believe. I don’t think she is suffering so I want to help her if I can! Today I noticed almost like a sticky odorless saliva? She’s acting like she’s paralyzed everything but her neck. But every now and then she will move her legs and try to move but unsuccessfully. Her eyes are normal color as well. Our flock gets to roam throughout a large pen during the day and at night goes into a coop with water and food always near by! All the other chickens in our flock seem perfectly fine! Thanks in advance

This could be Marek's, but I'm not sure.

I’ve read about Mareks but wouldn’t that effect my whole flock? All other chickens seem fine. And I haven’t found with mareks if they can survive threw if or if they are out of luck

Sometimes it does not show in the other birds for a long time. Also, sometimes they can survive it but there is no cure. They will have it their whole life.

Okay thanks! We are just trying to figure out what to do with the poor girl. We hate to put her down but I don’t want her to suffer!

I'm not sure whether or not you should put her down, as she could start feeling better, although it is very likely that she will get worse. I'm really sorry if she does.
