I was wondering the same thing.

No flock at this time, maybe in the spring I will get him one hen, we shall see! I just want to start with him only, introduce myself slowly and take my time with him.

Just my opinion, but I think he would be much happier with a hen or 2. As much as you will love him and spend time with him, you aren't a chicken. He is a flock animal and needs to have companionship of his own kind.

Yep, believe me, I totally get that...more than I think you may initially see, actually If he will be happier with a hen or two, then he will have hens. Just not right now. He's only ~10 weeks old, puberty is a few months away. So for now, until spring, I want to focus on him. I very much appreciate your or anyone else's opinions, perspectives and experiences. I am here to learn and absorb as much as I can beyond what I already know, that's exactly why I joined this site. So thank you!
