Chicken Netting

I am looking to set up a temporary run to let my Cornish Cross get a little exercise and hopefully forage a bit. I found what I want but not for the price I want. Does anyone have any ideas of what I can set up. I'd like to be able to reuse it and be able to set up and take down easily.

This is what I would like but don't want to pay for. It is $97 for 82 feet of fencing.

You could do construction netting I'm not sure the price though. However, you could do bird netting but it is NOT predator proof at all. Its very easily keeps the birds in but it would tear if a dog or any other animal tried to get in. Bird neting you can find in the garden section. I'm using that temporarily to keep my birds in while my husband finds the time to help me put the wiring up. Its very reasonably priced and I cut mine in half.

I use that Tenex poutry fencing for one side of my chicken yard. For posts I used steel spike and plastic fence posts that were easy to drive into the ground with a hammer and hook up the fencing. I also nailed it to trees it goes past. It works good for a temporary barrier but of course my chickens could get over it it they wanted to, but so far have not attempted. It would not be good to use for permanent fencing of any type and affords no protection from predators. When my chickens are out in their yard I stay out there with them. When I cannot be there they are put in their coop/run combination which sits inside the chicken yard. I bought mine at Lowe's. It is easy to cut with scissors but you need fairly regular spacing of the support posts. I also bought my support posts at Lowe's for $3.95 each. I don't remember the price of the fencing but I bought two rolls. I have some left over I might use to make other temporary barriers for smaller spaces if I want to isolate a chicken for some reason and a small enough space to put birding netting on top. Right now my chicken yard is too big for a top (30 by 50 feet).
