Chicken newby!

Hello friends! I am new to chickens, bought 4 young red buff hens from a farm a little over 48 hours ago! So far we are loving the chickens. They are so sweet and quite funny to watch! They have already layed 8 eggs!, We live in southeastern North Carolina and are starting our homestead on 2 acres! Looking forward to meeting you all.

Welcome to BYC. Sometimes after laying the eggs that are 'in process' hens will take a temporary break in egg laying after being moved to a new home. So if they stop laying don't be concerned. They will restart production eventually.
