I have had a chicken who started to sound phlegmy in her chest/throat area. She then got worse and started to gasp for air with every breath. She has since passed away. (😞sad)
I now have a second chicken with same symptoms. I’ve separated her from the group. Both were/are being treated with VetRX.
I am at a loss at what else to do? The first chicken lost weight and now the second one is too.
Looking for help in treatment ideas. Wondering if antibiotics would help?
Thanks! (I’m pretty new to chickens and wish I knew more to help this gal out)

You can throw the VetRX in the garbage. It isn't going to do anything.
Go to the farm store and see if they have Tylan50 available. That is what you want to treat her with.
I would give her 1/2 ml ORALLY every 12 hours for seven consecutive days.

What came of this?
