Chicken not comfortable outside?

My chickens are pretty lively in their closed off area, but when I bring them out into the backyard, they just sit and stay silent. How can I get them to be comfortable outside their area? I've already tried to feed them treats, but they won't eat them.

They are nervous about the change. Chickens HATE change. They'll overcome their fear if you make it a regular part of their routine.

I've had a few get out of their run when i'm changing water for feed. They don't go far and start looking for the way back in very quickly. If we let them alone they will start exploring a bit. Just watch out for predators. Good Luck

Same for treats. Eventually they will figure out it tastes good.
