Chicken not going on roost

This is not that important but find it a bit funny one day I was locking up the chickens and only counted 8 we have 10 one is healing from a attack and the other one unknow where it is. I look up the deck and she was laying on the side of it! Normally she would go in the coop but now she's trying to sleep on the roost!

Some time chickens do this, some times they are being picked on and do not want to be with the attacker, some times I think they Just Like their New Place better, But I always put them back in the coop after dark----usually a couple nights is all it takes.

I have had good luck by removing the attacker/s if there was only one or two----put them in a holding pen for a week----allowing the one being attacked to "move up" in pecking order, then when the other/s are put back in---seems things go smoother. BUT if the attacker starts back at her bad habits----I decide if she is needed-----if not she takes a ride to the Auction, if she is needed---I have 67 chicken pens----I will find a place for her.
Good News, in a way, If I can keep peace in 67 chicken pens with having had over 1200 chickens most anyone can keep peace in one----you Just Have to do what is needed to do so.
I have also had good luck moving/switching pens with 2 groups of chickens or moving the ones in a pen into a empty pen----seems to take away the mean hens seniority. Most of the time with exceptions.

Its just best to never remove the one that is being pecked on. Remove the other/s. I have removed all the hens in one pen to allow the one being pecked on to get in tight with the rooster, then in a few days put only one of the less mean that was removed back in at night, then in a couple days another until I get to the meanest/last----that also helps a lot.
