Chicken not moving

I am making sure she doesn’t go back.

The broody breaker cage is better, because I tried once before I got a rooster and she must snuck over to neighbors for a visit, next thing I knew she brought 10 little chicks outta no where lol.that and all she did was hid the nest so not to be disturbed if you don't have a rooster,don't want chicks, or don't have access to fertilized eggs.

So I have one more thing, once we have been taking her out she has been puffed up like this and making a bunch of clucking so we don’t now what is going on with her. Thanks in advance!!!

Is she on nest most the day and all night?
When you pull her out of nest and put her on the ground, does she flatten right back out into a fluffy screeching pancake?
Does she walk around making a low cluckcluckcluckcluckcluck(ticking bomb) sound on her way back to the nest?
If so, then she is probably broody and you'll have to decide how to manage it.
Yup, sounds like she's broody.

The reason you need to put her in an elevated cage with no tray in the bottom is to bring her temperature down. That is the only way to get her out of her broodiness. @aart explains it better than anybody else I know.

She is a black australorp.

Just like mine. My two brother odies are both australorps and their excellent protective mothers. (Suggest keeping them in a seperate enclosure if you hatch multiple broods at once in the future XD)

Put gloves on if you are worried. Toss her into the run. If she’s broody, she’ll run around like mad getting a drink, eating, dust bath and drop a huge turd, then she’ll go back to her nest.

Exactly. And.. She'll make a dinosaur type screech as you pick her up ... don't be scared!

If you do not have fertilized eggs, or do not want her to hatch any then you will need to break her. Best way I know is to use a wire crate raised up on bricks or boards so that air can circulate all around her. No bedding/nesting material of any kind, just food and water. Put her in the run or coop in the crate. Leave her there until she changes her mind. It can take a few days or up to a week if she's stubborn about it. If she still fluffs and/or growls, she's still broody. If she goes back to the nest box, she's still broody. They don't eat or drink well while broody, so no reason to put them through it if they aren't going to have babies to take care of. Examples below of a broody breaker set up:

Well she is actually pretty good when we lift her up so I don’t use the gloves anymore. At first I thought that she was going to jump out and attack me.
