For the past 2 months my chicken has had an extremely difficult time pooping, she is almost 6 months old. She shakes and makes a very fast clucking noise she also bleeds like crazy. Iv gotten 2 wads of poop out that are about the size of a quarter that are very firm. I'm just wondering if theres anything I can do to help out with this situation and help prevent it.

Stop all the fruits and vegetables and feed her layer feed only. If there is blood in feces, get her started on Corid 9.6% liquid solution immediately. Dosage is 9.5cc's per gallon of water for 5-7 days. Make it fresh daily and dont add anything to the mixture.

Thank you

Does she have access to shaded fresh water all day long? Try adding water to a pan of chicken feed to make it runny to get more water into her. Stop foods other than chicken layer feed. Initially, you can give her a tsp of castor oil or mineral oil just once, which may allow her to poop. Check her vent area for any pecking, since vent pecking from over crowding can damage the vent. Feel inside her vent with a finger 1-2 inches just to check for a stuck egg (use a flove.) How often is she laying?

She has plenty of water all over the yard to drink and this only happens once a month she kind of acts egg bound but she hasn't started to produce eggs yet once I get the poop out of her she is completely back to normal.

Are her eggs normal sized and hard shelled? That is odd. Maybe give her 1/2 tsp of castor oil or mineral oil mixed into some egg when she gets like that.

She hasn't started laying yet, and ya I'll try that thank you
