I have an almost four year old Buff Brahma. She doesn’t do much anymore. Just lays down. I have to wash poop, etc off her underside because it gets stuck in her feathers in clumps. I don’t know why but she’s been like this for months. I treated scaly leg mites on her. Those seem to be gone. I’ve trimmed her claws. Maybe overweight? I don’t know what to do. Any suggestions?

Could you post somevpictures of her eyes, beak, and legs? Since she's not laying check can't be eggpound. Have you dewormed her because you could give that a try. I would recommend Zyphend. It couldn't hurt to try it. She might have a respiratory disease too. Is she separated from your other birds? Is she drinking water? Is she going to her roost at night? Maybe this could help.

I haven’t dewormed her. I can definitely try that. She’s not separated from the others. She’s been eating and drinking until yesterday. She didn’t have any water. I let everyone out of the coop in the morning. She rarely leaves the coop. We usually have to put her in the henhouse at night because she’s just hunkered down in the dust bath. She hasn’t gotten on a roost in a year. She just sleeps in the pine flakes. She was laying until she started molting in the fall. Her comb is still red and her eyes and beak look clear. I rinsed the dried poop from her backside and I didn’t notice any issues with her vent.
