Chicken not walking much, prefers to sit off by herself,

My Black Australorp 1.5 yrs old isn't walking very well and looks skinny. seems to get up on the roost ok, but she deffinately has something going on, when she stands, her legs are very close together and usually cant stand very long- is eating though- Any Ideas? Ive never run across this before.

Good chance it's an egg laying problem. Read the threads about eggbound, etc. on the FAQ page. Separate her and try a warm soak (in a tub or sink) first. She will need a quiet place, partly darkened, to lie around and rest.

Worms and cocci are also possibilities, and I'm sure there are others.
