Chicken on the run

Yes hens will still go broody even if there isn't a rooster in the flock, but obviously there is in his case..

It just seemed strange to me that the original poster was talking about a hen going missing but posted a photo featuring a cockerel.... and it occurred to me that they might not realise they had a rooster ..... and if that is the chicken that is going missing then obviously a cockerel is not going to be broody.
