I was given a small chick that was found wandering with no other birds around. It was by itself. Since I have 5 chickens and a duck the person knew I would take care of it. Its about 4 weeks old now and doent really look like a chicken but Im no expert. Hopefully someone will be able to tell me if i have a chicken or something else. Thanks.

It's a young chicken. I can't really tell what it's gender is yet. It's a cutie though. :)
She is so cute. Thanks for the response i was thinking i might have a wild turkey because of her long neck and legs. I dont know the sex but if by the wings then a girl. She is 4-5 weeks.

Wing sexing only works for specifically bred hybrids and only on the first two days.
Oh ok. Thank you for the info. I have only had chickens for 1 yr now and Im still learning. I started with 1 buff Orpington and 1 Delaware. They were both 14 weeks when I got them. Then got 3 cochin and they were 7 weeks and already knew what sex. This one was given to me as a rescue baby. Just sitting and waiting to see what she/or he turns out to be.

Glad to help. If it is in fact a game and turns out to be a female they are outstanding broody hens if you want to hatch eggs.
