This is the dominent roo at the stables where I keep my horse. He looks like a dinsaur throw-back to me. What heck is he??? Man he has got a set of spurs on him!

Wow! I have made that conection so many times just in the way my hens act. Love the title! Some sort of game bird?

I know its gotta be a gamey bird of some kind, just curious if anyone knows what kind of game bird. He is a mean sucker. Always getting into scrapes/ fights. Yer right about them being considered birds of prey, chickens realy are.....

Chicken/velociraptor = one and the same. Looks like an Asil American game X. I don't doubt that he is king of the barnyard. Once upon a time (when I was a kid MANY years ago) every farm around here had one of those running with the farm flock. In the autumn they were removed for illicit purposes.
