I'm actually in the market research business and design surveys for a living.
On the whole, a pretty good survey . I don't want to be overly critical, but some of the answer choices were a bit limited and the resulting data may be a bit skewed.
Will be Interesting to see how many rate keeping the coop clean "very pleasant". Really? I had no idea how to answer that. It's a terribly frustrating task to keep the chicks' food and water poop-free, and I've tried every trick in the book.
Although I do feel somewhat warm and fuzzy when I clean out their waterer and for a few minutes they have clean, shaving and poop-free water, but I wish it wouldn't have to be so frequent or so messy/smelly.
I might have used a different scale wording there--not sure what you're trying to get at--Perhaps "Very satisfying/somewhat satisfying, etc." would have been a better choice?
You also assume that everyone has a traditional watering system?--what about people with nipple waterers? They may find the task easy and very pleasant compared to those of us with 3 gallon plastic waterers. It would be interesting to see how the ratings differ based on watering method--but you don't ask that.
Also, it's possible to purchase multiple feeders/waterers--I've purchased both online and in the feedstore, but the survey only accepts a single response. I answered based on my last purchase.
Sorry, hard for me not to look at the survey with a critical eye, since it's been my job for the past 20 years.
I'd be happy to consult if you're ever looking for ways of improving your data collection.
