Chicken panting, backside very swollen

Chicken wasent moving very much yesterday so I picked it up and saw that the back end was covered in pop and had loads of fly eggs laid on it so I bathed cleaned and clipped. The back end is really swollen and red in thinking and egg ruptured inside or something but have no idea any help on what to do would be amazing thanks so much !

When one of our chickens wasn't moving around much, panting, and her butt felt like there was an egg in it, we sat her in warm water with Epson Salt. She ended up being egg bound. Her feathers weren't missing and she wasn't red though. Hope this helps.

Your hen has ascite fluid causing her swelling. So far you are taking great care of her.

Swelling from ascites is a common reproductive symptom, but, has different causes. Here is what I wrote to another member on the subject.
