I just pp on over hear cuz I saw "post your chicken pics here...and read INDEX...score!
OK...so these are our cream legbar babies our light sussex hatched our 5...mmm..6 weeks ago. SOOOOOO cute it's killing me!
Here's Jeanie with Boo and Poppin

Boo has the bigger Texas hair going for her

Poppin is more timid and has the smaller do and more of a copper tone to her chest

Love the hair on boo / I enjoy this post , and overwhelmed with all the breeds there are, so fun to see and learn
I know! I never knew how many breeds there were either. At first, when my wife showed me picture of them and said she wanted these because they're one of the many auto sex chickens that she liked best I thought
"Dang, those are some funky looking chickens with the big bouffant hairdoo behind the comb" But now, watching them develop from egg to what they are now...I got to say, they grow on you. Plus...how can anyone resist a face like this?

Personally I think they look like wannabee road runners, just sayin...

Your birds look great! I can't wait to get my chicks outside so I can take better pictures of them. Having them inside, I spend most of my time trying to make sure they poop on a towel instead of taking pictures. :)

I kind of do/kind of don't want the phoenix to be a male. I'm still trying to get my current roosters to coexist, I'm not sure what I'd do with another one. BUT I really, really, really want that long tail! :D

Thank you!

Ha ha, I know firsthand how hard it is to keep up on the poop, let alone take pictures at the same time.

I don't blame you at all! Do Memnoch and Odysseus have many squabbles?

Mem usually just chases Ody around now - they don't get into actual fights anymore (which is an improvement I can live with).

As days go by, though, the Phoenix seems more male than female...
