CHICKEN POO MULCH

I have an excess of pine shavings and chicken poop and was wondering about using it as mulch in the pathways of my garden. I lay my garden out in beds and typically compost all my chicken waste however, if i could use it as a mulch then simply cultivate it under come fall it might be easier then trying to compost it all. Thoughts anyone?

I use it whenever I plant something in my vegetable garden and everything grows well. but cover it with earth because of the flies.
