Does anyone else have dogs who have a taste for chicken poo? Both of my dogs act like it's the best tasting stuff around. The dogs don't go into the chicken pen but when I wipe my feet on the grass or if the hens have been in the mobile pen, the dogs think it's a feast when I put the hens back in the pen.

Yes, many if not most regard chicken poop as a treat.

Our golden eats deer feces and then vomits on the living room floor.

Everyone who has dogs and chickens has dogs who eat chicken poop. Just like if you have pretty much any other animal. My dog eats so much cat, horse and chicken poop it's a wonder I have to feed him

And why I never, ever let a dog lick me. Ever. Yuck!

Yea, dogs will eat the feces of animals, especially those with shorter digestive tracts like cats, to get extra undigested proteins left behind in their feces. Don't ask me why they do this but they think it's a delicacy I guess.

And another fun fact is that dogs mouths/saliva actually has less bacteria in it than your own. Go Figure.

All dogs eat poo mine does and every other dog I've seen does and the worst part is you can't stop them. All you can do is give them medicine to prevent them from getting worms.

Yep, they are little turd eaters for sure. I have a pom that liked to dig out the cat turds from the litter box and I would find evidence of litter in my living room. I had to put a cover on the litter box to stop him. He also likes the chicken poop and chicken feed outside. My other dog won't do that stuff, but the pom will. So, I buy that doggie mouth spray for him and make sure I worm him twice a year. As someone said, dogs harbor less bacteria in their mouths than humans, so it's not all bad. Just gross to think about.

My dog don't pay any attention to chicken crap, but both the dog and the chickens will fight over a cat turd.

try cow poo on sons work clothes, darn dog eats the socks and jeans to all the poo!! Bad Cairn Terrier,Toto never did that with flying monkeys.

Every cloud has a silver lining. On the up side a chicken poop eating dog stopped my wife's best friend from letting her pooch eat leftovers from her good china.
