Chicken Poop.

I clean up the poop daily from the coop and in the yard, I got thinking, the chickens obviously see me doing this, I wonder if they get talking together and think I collect it because I like it and they are just trying to please lol.

Seriously though since I've put poop boards in the coop it has made it a lot easier plus I do collect it for fertilizer.

Do you have sand in your trays to make collecting the gumdrops easier???
Many peeps use Sweet PDZ in their poop trays. It is a Horse stall freshener. Not sure if you have same thing by same name in UK. It absorbs ammonia as well. I use it as a base layer in my coop and loft. I follow it with hay.
BTW, are neighbors dogzzzzz still trying to eat their way onto your grounds.???

Hi, I will look up PDZ and try it thanks.
I stapled chicken wire along the fence plus blocked off and gaps that the dogs could see through, hopefully that might be enough but not heard them barking.

Don't think Sweet PDZ is available in the UK.
But I recall someone over there finding it under it's mineral name 'zeolite',
maybe thru a gardening center.

It would be worth the cost if someone here could ship it to you Col! I buy Mathmos lava lamps and Mars bars whenever I can afford it and use a reshipper to send the lamps via UPS. it’s expensive, but ohhhhhh-sooooo worth it!
