Chicken poop

I let my chickens out of the coop in the afternoons. The girls (chickens) poop in the yard as do my dogs but we pick up the dog's mess. Is it okay that we let the chickens do this even when the kids play in the yard? Chicken poop isnt that easy to pick up with a scooper

I would just make sure the kids wash their hands after playing in the yard. There are a few diseases that can be transmitted to humans through chicken poop but as long as the kids aren't eating it they should be ok.

Chances are your kids are getting chicken poop on them anyways, if they handle the chickens. So washing their hands afterwards, would be as important as washing their hands after playing in the yard.

Yes, it should be fine just always remember to wash your hands after handling your birds, playing outside in general, and even after collecting eggs you should always wash your hands.
