Chicken possibly sick

She has grit. Her crop looks empty. I'll see if I can get a video of her and try to post it.

Her crop felt empty. No nasty smell from her mouth.

I would recommend getting some vet rx at the feed store for her.That can help smooth the throat.

Unfortunately we don't have any avian vets around my area

So, she's constantly making that gaping while breathing? (was only a 4 second video, so not certain it wasn't looping). If she's constantly doing that gaping, along with the sneeze that you heard and the mucus... My bet is on respiratory illness. I'd put her on antibiotics asap, if she were my girl. I don't know which are available in your country, they offer me Enrovet (Enrofloxacin) here in Panama for this sort of problem, one tablet daily for 7 days, (25mg daily). Enrofloxacin also treats E.coli, coryza, avian cholera and staphylococcus infections. Withhold sacrificing animal for meat for 7 days after the last dose of treatment, no mention of withholding of eggs. I'm concerned that her crop is empty in the daytime, usually takes a very sick bird to not eat.

Our vets around the tristate area don't deal with chickens. I did find some antibiotics doxycycline so I'm giving her that.

She has this chick and 4 little sisters. Have them separated

No...I think she is having trouble breathing....I've seen(videos) of breathing like this when they Have fluid in their lungs.

No I didn't see any but I didn't know what they looked like til now. I just watched a video and didn't see anything like that. She is resting now. I just have a feeling by morning I will only have 4 feather babies.

She was doing it this am around 7 am. Didn't have heat lamp on yet.

What do you mean by you didn't have the heat lamp on yet... Are you still putting heat on her?
