Oh my gosh! Some people are more addicted than me. I feel better cause I can get a lot more chickens before I really have an addiction problem!
You know I started out with a few Delawares, I've added a Welsummer and a few Black Copper Marans. Everyone, and I mean everyone wants eggs now, so I had no choice but to get more chickens. I'm getting ready to hatch some lav orps and more BCMs. No choice...I had to do it! BTW my husband and son are no help cause the keep expanding and adding pens!

Am I gonna be okay ya think?

Hi I'm a chick-aholic and my supplier knows it. Every time we visit him on the pretext of a social visit (he is our friend as well) we come back with more birds.

if there is medication for this addiction.

My friend texted me today to say he's downsizing the number/type of birds he breeds and wanted to give me first choice for FREE! I had to turn him down because I don't even know where I'm putting the 9 chicks in the brooder yet! Dang that hurt!!

Hi, my name is Whittni & I may have a problem. (

) I started out with 3 guineas + 1 rooster...then got 3 chicks from the feed store, then 4 from a breeder, then people just started giving me chicks...roosters, hens & a turkey. What happened a few months ago? I cannot explain...all I know now is I have roosters to trade & give away 24/7...I'm extremely reluctant to do so. For every rooster I have or buy I make sure 6 hens are purchased to go along with him...which I like

but at the same time I rescue the local birds when I get the money. & the saddest part, I type & act like an older adult but I'm a midaged teen.

I (me, not my family) own approx 27 chickens, but I'll be trading some roosters away.
