I may have to get rid of the JB pair and the two Cochin bantams. I was hoping to eventually add a second JB hen and to get a black Cochin bantam roo so I could breed them. But that would mean I need one more coop. I even found a pic of a duplex coop that would be perfect. I think I may show a pic of it to my high schools wood shop teacher and see how much he thinks it would cost him to make it...

My broody is going to kill me cause i have my "babies" in a rabbit hutch and shes going to be in there until there big enough to not be in there

This evening I was eating lunch and watching the peachicks on the porch playing. All the sudden one of my bigger males stuck his tail straight up in the air and started displaying for the ladies..and the other gentleman.

Then he did something that I DID NOT expect!

He jumped on my smallest peahen and BRED her???!!!

OMG!! These guys ( and girls ...) are ONLY around 5-6 m/o..they don't even fully mature until 3 years old? Should I start expecting eggs?

Anway, it was super funny and made me bust out laughing at the goofy guy!

Doesn't he know he's only a teenager and doesn't need to be breeding the ladies yet?
