. In my case you wouldn't have to worry about me doing anything other than bringing my chickens and moving in with you!! LOL! I have found that if motivated it is amazing how space can me maximized efficiently!

Just for a side bar funny, one of my neighbors had a complaint about my birds the other day, specifically about my roo. Now, I've worried about this since we discovered we had Roos and decided to try to keep them, but there was no way I was ready for this complaint. She was upset because we had culled our LF roo and she couldn't listen to him crow in the mornings!! I almost fell over on the spot when she asked if we were going to replace him!!!

Except for the Cria and Jersey pic all those pictures are from previous owners given to me. Yes, making use of the space you have is important to me. If I wanted to a could have coops dotting the landscape but I wanted an easy way to keep them so I wouldn't have to run everywhere to take care of them, so the idea of adding onto the barn seem smart. It really has proved helpful over the years with the chickens so close to the horses and goats they can clean up their pens of flies and larva so much faster. I could seriously say since getting chickens I seen a good 50 percent or more drop in flies, which is AWESOME.

I have 5 roos....about 3 too many, but what is, is. My neighbors love to hear them crow...their young girls will crow to the roos to start the "crow wars". It's cute, now that the windows are shut. LOL

I think my roo reads this forum....he has started to try and mount some of my small hens. The alpha roo takes exception to this activity and plucks him off like a bug. Pretty funny to watch, if you plug your ears....squawk!!!!

The irony is I don't like chocolate. Haven't eaten it in years, but I have had this sig line on many forums... (And my Amazon tYmbur sings "What would you doooo-oooo for a Klondike Bar?" about 70 times a day) It has always fit me. My addictions are birds! My mother raised them when I was little and I started a few years ago with it myself. It's a hobby, it will never be a full time job, but it is one I really enjoy. I have recently started with poultry and have become hooked. I could watch my geese and chicken do stupid things all day. They make me smile. And in a world where so many now a days are losing there homes and jobs and have no reason to smile I feel really lucky, cause I smile a lot, and those dumb little feathered kids of mine are a big reason.
