For one thing he hasn't eaten a meal in about 3 days...I but ya he comes back up to the yard looking for another pea-snack. Hopefully, he'll get his rear-end caught in the trap and in the morning..he will be history. Or...I could cook him and feed him back to the girls for a sweet revenge! *inset evil laugh*

He keeps coming up here 'cause the animals are fat and easy to catch, there is water out, and there is nothing to eat out in the pasture...

Last year I had to coyotes that would come up to the barn WHILE I WAS FEEDING and would be waiting for me to let out my chickens!

We're spending too much time on the same threads, Aspen! I almost suggested you feed the carcass back to your birds as a whole circle of life/revenge thing!! You might have to cook it first...

Last fall, Vic killed a coyote with a pitchfork, in the barn! The drought here this year is going to make the predator situation worse; Vic has already had skunks, raccoons, and possums trying to get into the chicken house. And there is plenty of wilderness around here for them to hunt in. They'll still try to get the "easy" meals... I keep my shotgun handy; I'm going to do my best to make those midnight snacks unhealthy for them.
