I have 3 babies inside with mumma hen.
the other hen is on the eggs that havent hatched.
I think there might be a few under her that have hatched.

He keeps coming up here 'cause the animals are fat and easy to catch, there is water out, and there is nothing to eat out in the pasture...

Last year I had to coyotes that would come up to the barn WHILE I WAS FEEDING and would be waiting for me to let out my chickens!

Last fall, Vic killed a coyote with a pitchfork, in the barn! The drought here this year is going to make the predator situation worse; Vic has already had skunks, raccoons, and possums trying to get into the chicken house. And there is plenty of wilderness around here for them to hunt in. They'll still try to get the "easy" meals... I keep my shotgun handy; I'm going to do my best to make those midnight snacks unhealthy for them.​
