X2 for both!

Aspen, I've never seen white orps, they are very pretty! And, I lost count. How many new birds was that? Pretty kitty! It would look good stuffed too! It was worth the wait. I see why you were busy!

PR those goat babies are sooo cute! And the piglets, but I am loving the goats!

I bought a trio of Lemons, and then he gave me the younger LCO cockerel and said if I didn't take him he was going to eat him!

He gave me the White Orpington bantams, and said if he hatched out anymore Whites he'd give them to me. He also gave me 28 Bantam orp hatching eggs. He has Blue, Black, Splash. Plus the white eggs from my birds. The little hen layed an egg in the traveling box on the ride home, and then layed an egg Saturday I think, and then I found one this morning. She is so cute! Tomorrow I'm going to work on coops for them. It's rained here the last 2-3 days so everything is wet and muddy. Including the chicken pens.

Today we built a small coop for the White Orp banties. Cleaned out the big hutch in the front yard for the LCOs. We got some heavy duty panels and we set them up as a run. One we hooked up with Banty Orp coop, the other is for the Cuckoo Orps. Hopefully the guys will leave us some tools so we can build something else for the Cuckoo birds.

can't they eat chick stater in crumbles?
post on the Quail thread for advice.

Yes, you can use chick starter, just be sure you grind it up for them until they get a little older. You may also need to give them some boiled eggs, or something high in protein.
