eh nice little chickens i hope mine turn out as cute as yours can u watch my candling vid and tell me if this 1 is good its a stupid question cause i was sure i could see it moving but im sick so i just want other ppls oppinon

Looks like movement to me!! Congrats

Now if the egg is black but u can't see movement dose that mean its dead

All dark doesn't necessarily mean its dead. It could mean you didn't wait long enough, the chick is too big to see details, or it could be tired from having recently been moving a lot. I'd give it a chance and not give up hope yet. But then, I'm an optimist!

Here's one of the baby quail in the incubator:

They are so small and cute! I can't believe how tiny baby quail are compared to chickens. Its amazing!

Last weekend DH built a "play pen" for our chicks so they could get some outside time and be out of the garage for awhile. It was a beautiful day and they enjoyed it a lot!

Here's a close up of one of the Porcelain D'Uccles. Still not 100% sure if this one is male or female. I'm leaning toward female because its comb is bigger than the Mille Fleur pullets, but nowhere near as big or red as the other Porcelain male. I'd take advice on this if anyone has it!?

Everyone else has been sharing pictures and I felt like I was slacking!! LOL!

I hope we're both right about the gender! Otherwise out of 8 that hatched 6 would've been Roos! 5 is bad enough! Thank you and I'll add some more pics then! I know the requirements of addiction anonymous thread, pics, pics and more pics!!

Yep all my chicks from this year are at least 4 months old so I don't have any youngins to share pics of.
