Chicken (Poultry) Addiction Anonymous *Chat Thread*

These are a couple of Sizzles I hatched from eggs I won in an auction here, from emvickrey. They're not the best pics but the feathers DO turn out as soon as they start coming in:

Mrs. Fluffy Puffy :

I've been doing some Swaps the last couple of days..OMGoodness! I'm addicted now!

Lets see I have Serama, Sizzle, Black Australorps coming from BHep. Seramas coming from HenThymes...then DUCK eggs..yes you read that right...coming from sonew123...however I won't be able to keep the ducklings if they hatch. I will be giving them to a friend.

But...on a brighter note when ever we got to see our friends, I will get to see them.

Then somehow, or other I have 2 bars of Lemon soap coming from All-American-Chick?

Don't know how that happened?

I mostly just wanted hatching eggs, but she wanted something I had so bad I decided to humor her.

And they are not swapping fast enough for Aspen! Girl, wait until spring! Those egg swap chains run so fast it will make your head spin! :-D

I love swapping..but alot of times the swaper doesn't offer hatching eggs.

But it works good since I don't have alot of eggs to offer, but people are interested in non-hatching eggs so I can swap purses, or what have ya for eggs.

Its just to keep em clean from mites fleas ect.

They look so funny without there fluffiness

They don't mind bathes do they? What kind of shampoo do you use?

I've dwindled my flock to 66 birds. This total INCLUDES the bantams and growouts, which I don't normally tally!

I would like to cut it down to 35...not sure why that number is so important, but think it a bit more practical. Oh how I wish this weren't so difficult!

Also, I have sold almost half of my ducks...went from 29 adults down to 15. Woot! This week we spent about $49 bucks in feed for the week. It has been upwards of $250 in the past.

If nothing else money will have to keep me in check with all the birds I'd love to hang on to.
