I am completely addicted to opening "cheeping boxes of happiness"!

It's like a drug!

I greatly admire the beautiful birds from selective breeders, but I am satisfied with my hatchery birds (and some culls from Daisychicks non-hatchery breeder birds)!

Hatchery birds fit my budget and I really am in this mostly for entertainment and distraction.

I think if I had to start over, I would just have a colorful mixed flock for layers. (I'm too emotionally and financially vested in my breeds to turn back now.

)The last hatchery orders I had were for ducks...one from Holderreads and one from McMurray. It is instant "Christmas feeling" when you open that box up! I think that is what most shopaholics experience...and can see how easily an addiction can form from that.

Oh, and Allen...good to see ya!

And tell Chandra I say hi the next time you see her!

Congrats Jl, now don't forget the pics. Mama is taking care of them isn't she?

So far she is hunkered down over both them and the shells. I pulled out the ones that were easiest to get to without disturbing her too much. I have tomorrow off so I can return trip to drs. And take the boys to the pumpkin patch with their preschool group. Should have plenty of time in the afternoon for pic taking!! I did get to see one peeking out from under her wing. Soooooo cute.

Are you related to Daisy?

Quote:
Nope, not related. We live in the same town and we both have chickens.

I bought one of her incubators from her last year, and I buy her used chickens!
