Chicken problem

I am new to owning chicks we just brought home 5 meat chicks and today I noticed a large lump in neck I did some reading and have found it could be food back up here is a pic any input / advice would be great

That area is where the crop is. I'm almost certain they eat more than they can handle. It can also be the breast meat forming. We raised 30 this year and they all had that lump.
Do you feed 24hrs? We did 12 on 12 off till the last 2 weeks then it was 24 on.

Personally I would change to 12 on. They fatten faster than the bones and joints can handle. Alot of members recommend that Fed time. They are prone to joint problems. When we did 12 on, then 24 on they cleaned at about 5.5lbs average largest being 7lbs.

I agree...after reaching about 3 weeks of age, we switched to 12 hrs on, 12 hrs off diet.

2nd to that. Exactly what I do. At 22 days old, the feed pails go up at night.

They are just broilers but we need to make sure they make it to fair week not under weight but also not have a heart attack from getting so fat

What weight are you looking to have them at by that time?
