Do you know I just shipped off ALL my Christmas fabric, scraps, Fat Quarters, everything, off to the girls that I quilt with in the summer so that they can cut out pieces for our quilt this summer?!!!!!!

Acre, I think you should host the Christmas Chick swap

and we could start it right after this one ends. That way I might have something done in time for Christmas.

Some folks you a fusible bond (Wonder Under/ Heat Bond) to stick they appliques to the base fabric. They'll trace the peice on the backside of the paper and cut them out after they are bonded. Me--I go straight to the fabric and trace my applique peices. I'll use a kids glue stick to tack them down. For me this is easier as I can pick them back up and move them around is needed.

Appliqueing can be done in a couple of different ways. You can do it by hand either with a blanket stitch or what is called "needle turn" where you use the needle to tuck the raw edges under and tack the peice down all the way around.

Or you can use a machine. Check out Goldens pictures on page 15 & 16. You can use different fancy stitches on your machine or a basic zigzag like I do.

Trust me my friend, You can do this with noooooooooooooo problem. You are such a talented quilter this will be a cake walk for you!!

I know you said this but I counted 15 people signed up ( not counting Acres) so should I go ahead and do 24? I will need to get more heat n bond if so. I am sorry if I am being redundant, I like to know for sure.
