I am in the Christmas swap and have finished those but have not mailed them yet. Got kind of distracted when I had to have surgery on my arm.

How is your arm now leepsy?

I got my blocks yesterday! Wow, you all did a great job on those blocks! After seeing them - I hope the ones I did were worthy.

What is everyone going to do with them? I'm not sure if I want to do a quilt or what! Maybe I'll just keep going through them and admire them until something "clicks"

Hey there, Luna, I had to have a large lipoma removed from my upper arm and the incision is doing fine. Against my better judgement, I let the nurse put the liquid adhesive on it when she put the steri strips on after she removed the last stitches. Consequently, I have a lot of blisters and inflammation all around the incision. Kinda painful. Hopefully today is the worst day and tomorrow will be better. Thanks a bunch for asking.

hi leepsy!

Hey I just received my blocksin the mail today, AWSOME! They are fantastic looking.

ummm, my mom just claimed this as her quilt for x-mas. well at least I'll be able to see it though.

Lunachick - yours are great! One of yours has a fabric almost identical to mine - swirly dark paisley. Also, you used a background fabric of pink roses on cream - I made this year's Easter suit of that! Tabmonsters, you did great - I like your fancy stitches. Goldenluver - so sorry we didn't connect when you were in J'ville - your blocks are the neatest and tidiest I've ever seen! Kickin' chicken blocks by Coyotemagic are too totally cool! Babymakes6 did the same block as I did - I'm going to make a collage of those two alone for someone. Not all of the blocks were labeled by the maker, so I have to do some detective work on the rest. I just love the hand applique - for sure those will be a wall hanging so they can't be touched!

Love you girls! Caroline

Hi Golden.....I know I don't post a lot but I read everything and I know everyone has enjoyed this swap. I can't wait to receive the Christmas blocks. I know they are going to be great!

Wouldn't anyone like to post pics of the ones they got? I would love to see what I missed.

Here you go, Leepsy. Where in North Florida are you? I'm in Jacksonville. Come see me sometime and I'll show you my fabric and my quilts and, oh yea, my chickens! Lunachick, the lower left rooster has my fabric!

Hi Caroline.....Thanks so much for the pic. I knew I should have entered this swap. Those blocks are great. Well, at least, I will have some for the Christmas Chicken Block Swap.

I live in Bell, that is about 30 miles west of Gainesville. We are, in fact, thinking of coming to Jacksonville. It is the closest city that has an IMAX that is showing Avatar in 3D. If you get the newspaper I would really appreciate it if you could tell me how long it will be playing there? I'm sure it won't be long. It would be neat to meet up.

I haven't been out of the house in 3 weeks(except to go to the dr today), and that was a useless trip. I had a reaction to the adhesive they put on my arm when I got the last stitches out and it looks and feels terrible. The incision is fine but the area around it is like it has a chemical burn. The dr had no suggestions but to wash with soap and water and endure it. I don't think surgeons are in touch with the real world. Cut it, stitch it up and then you're on your own if the incision is healing well. Anyway, enough of my ranting.

I love the blocks y'all. You all did a great job on them.

sewingca - I got a few of yours too! haha I have one of them with the dark paisley fabric! Funny! You do some excellent work! I also have some handmade ones! But no name on them, darn. They are all so nice, maybe I'll take a pic also.............

leepsy - I know what you mean. Cut, stitch and you're on your own. How true. Hope you feel better soon.
