I found a chicken about a six weeks ago. She was eating good put on weight. I don't know her age at all, she looks to be full grown. She hasn't laid any eggs yet or shown any signs of laying. About two days ago she quit eating. Her crop is empty. I bathed her about 4 days ago she did great with it. I currently have her in our bathroom so I can monitor her food and water intake. I gave her a bowl of Pedialite and also soaked some in bread. She only nibbled at the bread. She has been just standing in the same spot over the past few days. I live in Fairmont WV I am still new to raising chickens. I am unaware of any vets of people who know anything about chickens and their health. Please help me get her better.

    A couple of questions:

    1. Do you have other chickens?
    2. What have you been feeding her?

Yes we have 4 other chickens. They get Fed purina lanya (i think that's how it is spelled) her poop looks normal. I gave her a penicillin shot. As I was holding her close I could hear some rasping in her chest. I'm afraid that it is respiratory. She's not sneezing or snotty. How should I go about treating this. She has been around my other chickens for about 2 weeks now. I thought after her 30 day quarantine she was fine. She did normal chicken stuff till about 3 days ago. Should I treat my other 4 chickens too? I wish I had more info on her but I don't know her history prior to me getting her 6 weeks ago.
