I have a lot of chickens. I also have two rabbits. I am going to find 5he rabbits a home. So does that mean I get rid of two animals so I can replace them with two or three chickens using chicken math? Lol

Absolutely! If you're single, that is.

My husband tends to shut down my "chicken math" around here.

Lol....Sure, why not....We just bought some chicks and ducks...(4 out of 6 chicks passed away, 2 more were given to us) I also have 15 chicks getting shipped on the 23rd...Not sure how the hubby is going to react to that...

The lady that wanted the rabbits flaked. So I got a bantam wyandotte/cochin since I almost got rid of the rabbits. LOL

Well of course you did!! Its how we console ourselves. I thought about downsizing my flock, instead I bought 20 fryers (a dollar each) and incubators have been running non stop.. Turkeys and yeah... More chickens

I have been thinking of downsizing but I have a reason for keeping every single one. I counted them tonight. 14 chickens (7 are bantams), 3 seramas, 4 chicks (2 are seramas), and 5 ducks. I live downtown in a small country town in a 5 house neighborhood. They free range, which the neighbors don't mind. The city ordinance says nothing about how many.
