Well my free rangers ate up all the annual flowers right away, but left the bulbs alone . . . then when the annuals were gone they dug up the bulbs but left the geraniums alone . . . then when I finally stopped replanting the bulbs everyday that got boring so they ate my geranium leaves and pulled out the roots . . . only things left were the herbs . . . so they shredded the thyme even thought they really didn't like it . . . now the only thing left is the Rosemary and it appears safe none of them will go near it. Soooo . . . any other chicken resistant plants that will look nice in the pots by my front door? The rosemary looks lonely.

I don't recommend this, but I never got around to removing the poisonous plants from my yard. My chickens don't seem touch them. I don't have any of the really bad deadly kinds of plants since I have a dog and kids, but some of these are plants on the no-no lists. I am unsure if I am just lucky so far, or they avoid them on purpose. I live on the border of USDA zone 9 and 10, so what I can grow probably isn't the same for you.

My chickens don't eat these in my backyard:
Heliotrope
Agapanthus
Salivias
Iris
Nandina Domestica (heavenly bamboo)
Camillias
Pittosporum
Clivia
Purple Heuchera (coral bells, but they ate my green leafed coral bells)
Lambs Ears
Sedum "Autumn Joy"
Leather leaf ferns
Osteospemum
Calla lilies
Asperagas fern
Japanese Anenome
Amarillys Belladona (naked ladies)
Lantana
Citrus

* However, they did dig out all of my other bulbs, destroyed that area and ate the lower grape leaves, alstromerias, fushias, and raspberries they could reach through out the yard. A lot of my other backyard plants are larger and established so they could handle more abuse. The areas where they can do more damage and the plants are in their first year, I fence them out of or fence it off.

Mine seem to hate basil and oregano. But that only mine and I have a feeling that all chickens have different tastes

Get a list of "deer-resistant" plants. Those seem to be the same ones that chickens dislike, probably because they don't taste very good or are poisonous. I am looking at Gardenerd's list, and those are almost all considered "deer-resistant" (no promises!)

Whatever is growing in my chicken yard, i.e, the area immediately surrounded my coop. I had to drag the mower out there again yesterday. They never wear it down!

I gave up on the pretty lawn years ago. Burmuda is the king here and the silkies love it when it seeds. I went online and got a few sites that had list of toxic and non toxic plants for chickens.
A life saver. Since they love dandelions i can now let them grow and populate the yard. AHHHHHHHHH PRETTY!
I let them have all the fruit off the trees they want, plant extra zucchini, tomatoes and spinach for them.
I dont spray/dust for garden pest like slugs horn worms or broccoli worms but instead gather them and let the girls have at em.
They also have free entrance to the compost bin.
