LOL, the Napoleon Syndrome! So funny to see!A dominant hen can also mount other hens in a display of dominance, pulling out neck/head feathers. I have a tiny OEGB hen who will do that to my bantam Wyandottes (who are twice her size).

I have tried this on the crest of one of my polish but she seemed to peck even more wear it was discolored and drew more attention... Some of my other friends have did this and have had great success! So I guess it depends on the pecker...Go to the feed store and get some ‘wound kote’, usually in the horse section. Spray it on the skin where the feathers are missing and they won’t peck that area anymore. It looks like purple spray paint.
