Chicken rubbing breasts raw

I have 3 ladies. One of them is so eager toget out and free range n the mornings, that sherns along th sides of the coop yard and is rubbing all the feathrs off of her chest. It is red and raw looking this morning.This particular chicken is new to me and a bit wild. She can be herded but not easily picked up. hat can I do to the sides of the coop to make it less rough on her?

No, not at all. I have 3 ladies, they tend to split up, 2 go one direction and the third often goes off on her own. But the one that is rubbed raw is the leader of the 2 that are always together. I have actually seen her rubbing her chest on the wire of the run as she goes back and forth trying to see whatever is going on outside the cage. I really think she is just eager to get out. We just moved in and have workmen coming and going (remodeling) and she is constantly following them around.
