Chicken Run Size

Hello,

I am wondering how many chickens I can fit in a run. The run is about 2 metres long by around 1.5 metres wide. I think it is about 2 metres high as well. i am just glad of any suggestions and comments,

So in feet it is ~ 6' x 4&1/2' so approximating it to be roughly 24sq feet.....

I think you can fit 2 large breed or 3-4 bantams depending on breed.

How big is the coop?

The run is a lot bigger. It is around 2 by 4 metres so quite big. Also I am worried about how many egg boxes I need to put in. At the moment I only have two. Will that be enough?

I’d say 3 barnvekder and 4 if you let them out 2-3 times a week to forage if possible

The run is a lot bigger. It is around 2 by 4 metres so quite big. Also I am worried about how many egg boxes I need to put in. At the moment I only have two. Will that be enough?

Oh that confused me there....the first post has it quite a bit smaller....

So....~ 6'X12' or roughly 72sq feet. In 72sq feet 7 large breed birds like Barnevelders should be comfortable.
Having 2 nest boxes for 7 birds is a good number.

It’s 36 square feet and I say 8 per bird so plenty at four let em out to forage and be perfect
