Chicken run smell

Hi All, Ive been raising chickens and duck for about 2 years. This year we added on and their run/play area is larger. Problem is, so is the smell. Besides raking it clean regularly, is there anything i can cover the ground with that will help with odor control???

Dear Stinky - we sprinkle Sweet PDZ on the dirt & rototill it into the top layer of soil; this is extremely effective in cutting down on the odor. I don't know that I would just sprinkle it on...I wouldn't want them to eat it. It's available at any farm store (Family FArm & HOme, TSC, etc.) Best of luck!

Thank you for the advice. Ill be sure to go buy some for the coop tomorrow. How often do you apply is outside in the run?
