The stadard quoted is 10 sq ft per bird. I find that size still leads to a lot of behavioral and sanitation issues. I would go as big as you reasonably can.

run= 4ft by 4ft+

it is always good to have a big run because chickens spend most their day in it.

Going by 10 sq ft per, 20 sq ft minimum... but you'll find that is extremely tiny, like smaller than a bedroom closet. I'd aim for at least 50 sq ft or more if you have space.

Agree with everyone above. I have 8 that have 35 sq ft each, and it seems cramped sometimes.

My four have around 55 square ft in the run. It’s adequate but it’s abundantly clear that they would adapt well to more space.
