Chicken saddle nightmare

I got some saddles for some of my girls who had some bald spots on their back.
I put four on and the girls each acted differently.
1) Completely fine. Normal
2) Traumatized. Won't move. Freezes up
3) Won't leave the roost
4) runs around the yard like a maniac.

They seem to be getting better. It's been a few days of these behaviors but every day they seem to get a little normaler.

Any ideas or stories of you guys experience with saddles?

I have two hanging on a hook in the barn, still new. One of my Black Australorp hens had a pretty bare back and wings. I bought her a saddle with wing protectors. She kept trying to back out of it, I'd leave her be for a while and she would not move. I try to pick her up and she'd try to run backward out of it. I also got a small one for one of my Silkie Hens and she seemed fine with it.

Normal behavior. They'll get used to it.
