Chicken Scratch had bo weevels, now what

I would wonder how spoiled or moldy this stuff is, and I'd throw it out.

What you have in reality when you feed weevil infested scratch feed is cracked corn. Liking mold or some other micro organism growing in your feed (like happens when you fermint your chickens' food) is not a concern with weevil infestication but the fact that the weevils have ate away the best parts of the grain kernel leaving only the hull. So grain infested with weevils is none or little worse than feeding cracked corn.

thanks everyone!!! I've been giving it to them didn't have that much left. Reassessing my storage of feed and scratch. I think I'll just purchase a couple of trash cans with lids....that should work?

I use metal garbage cans, and have them in my coop. They are up on blocks so the bottoms aren't damp, and it works fine. I keep the feed in the original feed bags too.

We used to keep our feed like Mary, but in plastic trash cans. Don't do that, spend more for the metal ones because mice will chew through the plastic ones. Now we do what Mary does.

I also have a couple of empty feed bags in the bottom of each can, as extra insurance against dampness. Each can holds two 50# bags of feed.
