DO NOT MIX the scratch with the pellets .... Try giving the scratch only as a treat in smaller amounts . Then when you give the pellets , they have no other choice but to eat that .

yep. it's like a kid having chocolate cake and broccoli on one plate...the cake will go first and then there are full tummies...
