Chicken scratch

My girls eat everything. I give them scratch here and there. None of them eat the small brown-ish balls (I have 6). I'm wondering what is? Curios why none of them like. Anyone have thoughts on this or experience the same.

Is it milo? My chickens don't like it either, they eat it last.

That is Red Milo. It is a bit bitter and they have to develop a taste for it. My birds were the same when they were young, now the gobble it up like crazy.
