Chicken Shaming to Lighten the Mood

Pics
and they are a year and a half they should have learned by now and the roosting post is 7 inches off the ground, the box, is 8 :barnie

Chickens always roost in highest possible place they can. I would recommend making the roost higher than the box if you want to encourage them to act like proper birds and roost on an actual roost ;)

What's doughy crop?
It's a sour crop. When you feel the crop it should feel empty in the morning before they eat anything. At night it should feel full but not hard and not squishy. Squishy feeling crop with a sour smell from the beak is probably sour crop. The often will vomit brown goo. A hard mass in the crop is probably an impacted crop. For more information check this out.

Btw @micstrachan I found using the 3 suppositories as described here to be much easier and perhaps safer than using the cream. There are enough suppositories to be cut into almost enough for a full round. There is also a small tube of the same medicine in cream form. I mixed a dose with about a quarter teaspoon, give or take, of scratch or other grain treat. I put it in a bowl and I fed it to him privately staying with him till he gobbled it all down. Worked a charm.
