I like that. I've noticed that with mine too. My older girls in the 2yr range tend to "keep things together" and facilitate newbies into the flock... noticed this week and thought it was kinda sweet and made sense.... chicken wise

The top is open. It’s a 1/2 gallon betta fish tank. Here ‘s the view from the top after I took her out. Obviously not a new occurrence. There were 8 eggs!
